The apparatus

415 recorded repairs in this version — 211 OCR, 105 punctuation, 99 transliteration. Every one is a rule: the words it changes, why it was made, and the witness it rested on. THE WHOLE SCAN IS HERE: all 141 leaves of the edition’s scan are stored with it, in leaf order, and every one of them opens and reads. 105 readings were decided from a page image — from 60 of the 141 leaves, which the index marks; the other 310 readings carry no page image, and the other 81 leaves carry no reading at all, which is stated where the leaf is opened and not hidden. The “All readings” entry lists every reading in the version, filtered by type or searched by word. The reading view applies every rule and the transcription view applies none, so this list is the difference between the two.

The apparatus, and the page images. The edition’s WHOLE SCAN — all 141 leaves — is stored with it and served beside the text, one image per leaf, at /texts/proclus-elements-of-theology-taylor-1816/scans/: every leaf the edition was read against, not only the leaves a reading was decided from. 105 of the readings in this version were decided from a page image, and each is shown with the leaf it was decided from, so the evidence for a reading is a page a reader can open rather than a claim about one. The other 310 readings carry no page image; they are listed in their own right, so the viewer is browsed by reading as well as by leaf and neither side is hidden behind the other.

The whole log, as data. The apparatus of this version is one plain file, served with the edition: /texts/proclus-elements-of-theology-taylor-1816/apparatus.json — every rule, with the words it changes, its reason, its witness and the leaf it was decided from, filterable by type and searchable by word there or in any other tool. This page renders it in the viewer below; that viewer needs JavaScript, and without it the file linked here IS the apparatus, in full.
